The water-less Scandi-Pod compost toilet is a self-contained batch composting toilet system. A silent fan increases air-flow within the system and generates enhanced evaporation capacity. This establishes ideal conditions for efficient break-down of the contents and guarantees completely odour-free operation.
Featuring a Scandinavian style, simple, minimalist but elegant design, this small – but large capacity – Viking Eco-Warrior is a great addition to any domestic/beach/tiny home, country living etc. etc. situation.
Simplicity of use makes the Scandi-Pod a great choice for any location. The aerobic decomposition and evaporation functions reduce human waste to a hygienically-safe material that can be recycled back to nature without polluting the environment.

Removable Compost Bins
There are 2 x 50 litre large capacity bins included in the system. When one bin is full, simply remove, cap with the supplied lid and insert the next bin. Once the second bin is full, the first bin will have broken down into fertile humus. The second bin is then emptied out in a suitable place and the bin reinserted to be used again.
Additional bins are available to increase the capacity of the system.
The Scandi-Pod is easy to install by anyone with basic handyman knowledge in just a couple hours with common household tools.
Power Supply Options
The Scandi-Pod’s fan can be powered by mains electricity, or by connecting it to a 12V solar power source.
You can add a compatible SF-20 Solar Power Supply module to your order.
The 20W Solar Power System is a Solar Energy system that is the perfect solution for powering your toilet vent fan and basic off grid power requirements. Low cost, high reliability design – 20W poly-crystalline solar panel with 5m cable and 150Wh LiFePO4 Battery – 3 x 12V outputs, 2 x 5V USB outputs, Portable, durable energy supply system – LFP (LiFePO4) batteries offer longer cycles life than other lithium-ion batteries.
2 x 3W LED Lights included with 4m lead and switch.

Ventilation Options
The Scandi-Pod module is shipped without vent fittings.
It’s variety of installation options mean that no prescribed set of fittings suits all applications.
A standard domestic installation can be achieved with our ventilation kit which includes:
- 4 x 1000mm of DWV pipe
- 3 x DWV connectors
- 1 x No 4 Dektites
- 3 x stand off brackets
We also offer a Whirlybird Upgrade instead of Fan Assembly for when power is not available or desired.

Elegant and minimalist
Equipped with a convenient drain tube, the Scandi-Pod drains off any excess liquid not evaporated to be dispersed via a gravel filled dispersal trench.
The toilet seat cover is made of black polypropylene plastic and the seat is made of dark grey, warm-feel cellular polypropylene plastic. The heat seat material combination is new on the market: easy to maintain, hygienic and comfortable to use.If a standard plastic toilet seat is preferred, an exchange kit can be purchased for $20.
The Scandi-Pod’s proven batch composting system combined with constant air circulation proves an excellent solution to almost any situation. It separates liquid from solid waste. A very appealing design and simplicity of use, makes the Scandi-Pod a great choice!
