The Kiwi-Pod, which is also known as the Oz-e-Pod, has been designed to allow a little extra space between your seat and the compost pile. When using other self-contained composting toilets often one feels just a little ‘close to the action’ when the composting container nears capacity. However an extra 50mm height between the toilet seat and the compost pile allows you to use the system with confidence – even when nearing capacity.
The waterless Kiwi-Pod compost toilet is a self-contained batch composting toilet system. A silent fan increases air-flow within the system and generates enhanced evaporation capacity. This establishes ideal conditions for efficient break-down of the contents and guarantees completely odour-free operation.
Hemp is used to aid in this process and as a cover material to minimise visual/olfactory impact.
An appealing design and simplicity of use make the Kiwi-Pod a great choice for any location. The aerobic decomposition and evaporation functions reduce human waste to a hygienically-safe material that can be recycled back to nature without polluting the environment.

What do you get?
Comes with 2 composting containers (58L capacity each), 1 lid & 1 transit tray as standard – plus 12V fan & housing, 240V adaptor, vent cowl, moisture trap to protect the fan from condensation, 65mm pipe & excess liquids drainage
This is everything you need to set the system up and get going, except the 100mm vent pipe and slotted drainage pipe (not included for transport reasons and cheaply obtainable locally).
However, you can purchase our Vent Kit if you wish ‘to make life easy’
Increased Capacity
Rated at 2 people full-time use and 4 people part-time use, the Kiwi-Pod’s capacity can be increased by adding optional composting bins.
Each bin increases the capacity of the system by 2 people.
When a compost bin fills, just remove the bin and move it outside for further composting and place the next bin inside the unit.
The Kiwi-Pod comes with 2 composting bins.

Power Supply Options
The Kiwi-Pod’s fan can be powered by mains electricity, or by connecting it to a 12V solar power source.
You can add a compatible SF-20 Solar Power Supply module to your order.
The 20W Solar Power System is a Solar Energy system that is the perfect solution for powering your toilet vent fan and basic off grid power requirements. Low cost, high reliability design – 20W poly-crystalline solar panel with 5m cable and 150Wh LiFePO4 Battery – 3 x 12V outputs, 2 x 5V USB outputs, Portable, durable energy supply system – LFP (LiFePO4) batteries offer longer cycles life than other lithium-ion batteries.
2 x 3W LED Lights included with 4m lead and switch.

Ventilation Options
The Kiwi-Pod module is shipped without vent fittings.
It’s variety of installation options mean that no prescribed set of fittings suits all applications.
A standard domestic installation can be achieved with our ventilation kit which includes:
- 4 x 1000mm of DWV pipe
- 3 x DWV connectors
- 1 x No 4 Dektites
- 3 x stand off brackets
We also offer a Whirlybird Upgrade instead of Fan Assembly for when power is not available or desired.

Consumables and Accessories
Easy to install
Equipped with a convenient drain tube, the Kiwi-Pod drains off any excess liquid not evaporated to be dispersed via a gravel filled dispersal trench.
The Kiwi-Pod’s proven batch composting system combined with constant air circulation proves an excellent solution to almost any situation. It separates liquid from solid waste. A very appealing design and simplicity of use, makes the Kiwi-Pod a great choice!
The Kiwi-Pod is easy to install by anyone with basic handyman knowledge in just a couple hours with common household tools.
